Noteworthy

8-4: Harrison...oh Harrison, how you love to bite! Harrison of course likes everything in his mouth and we are predicting that he will be an early teether like Drew. He bites so much and has such a grip that many more bottles are in his near future...sorry kiddo.

8-6: Patriots training camp! I have always wanted to go, so I loaded up the double stroller and headed over. It was surprisingly easy to get in and park, but we were in the standing room area that is just a big grassy hill. I had to push the double stroller up while wearing flip-flops. I wasn't sure I would make it. Once at the top of the hill we had fun. This activity was more for Mommy than for the kids, so for entertainment Drew got a blue popsicle that was bigger than him at 10:00am. Oh well, live it up right?

8-7: Harrison and Shelby meet! My best friend, Susan came down from NH with her daughter who was born one month before Harrison. She is SUCH a doll! We were so happy that they came down for lunch. We are going to have to find a fun place to go that is half way for each of us, because these kids are going to be friends!
Drew: "Ok, I will sit with these babies, but I'm not gonna like it"
Drew: "Hey, baby...you are kinda cute"

Drew: "Ok baby, I know my ears are big but you don't have to tug on them."

Drew: "Alright baby, hands off. Just look at the camera and smile so I can get outta here"
Harrison: "Hellooooooo....anybody see me over here?"
8-8: Ok, before I get comments on how unsafe this is, it was after he cut the grass so the blade was up and he was going at a snails pace. Drew loved it! Andy told him before he went out that when he was done he would take him for a ride. I thought he forgot about it and was playing happily in the living room. The second that he turned down the mower to go dump the clippings, Drew dropped what he was doing and said "I go ride the mower now".

8-10: Summer has finally arrived, so I am not going to complain. This is the weather that usually prompts me only once a year to say I wish I had a pool. Well, I guess I do have a pool...

8-14: Harrison turns 4 MONTHS OLD!! Just like with Drew, I was excited to get started right away. I made his first meal a little thicker than recommended on the box. I did it by the book with Drew and it was like feeding milk on a spoon. Harrison seemed to like how I did it and he didn't even do the tongue thrust thing to get that foreign substance out of his mouth. He opened up when the spoon came towards him and kept coming back for more!!

8-14&15: Keeping cool anyway we can!!
Other noteworthy events happening around here are that Harrison rolled over for the first time about a week ago..do I remember the exact date, no, sorry kiddo that is just one of the crappy things about being second born. I do promise to make sure your big brother shares his toys with you though. He went from front to back first and then a few days later he finally went back to front. He is officially out of the swaddle. Drew was in the swaddle for way too long. We new that it was coming and were really dreading the nights of no sleep while weaning him out of it. He really did it himself because he was always coming out of it and just hated getting in it. It has gone pretty well aside from short naps he has slept through the night for the last 3 nights without it.
Drew turned 2.5! He is still getting smarter and smarter and astounds me with the things he comes up with. He is also learning how to really push my buttons. I am having a tough time adjusting to this new behavior, but I am changing little things to try and help the situation. He is starting to become a little fresh and saying things like "Mommy, don't tell me what to do!" ugh, I thought that was 4 year old behavior? As much as he can frustrate us, Andy and I still get a laugh out of his antics once he has gone to bed. Drew starts school in a couple of weeks and as of right now, he is pretty excited about it. We'll see.
